Pathway to International Business through Chess

Bermuda Chess Association is pleased to announce a new Academic Scholarship being made possible at the Bermuda College for students pursuing International Business.

This scholarship is based on demonstrating an aptitude for chess—showcasing critical thinking, analyzing options, decision-making, restraint, and working under time pressure—key skills in international business.

Scholarship Details:

Worth $10,000

Covers one of two courses at Bermuda College:

• Associate in Arts (Business Administration)

• Associate of Science (Actuarial Science)

Both courses include up to 64 credits+

Demonstrate Your Aptitude:

Show your ability to learn and understand chess concepts within a short timeframe—such as grasping the basics and fundamentals in just 3 months. This highlights your quick learning, adaptability, and eagerness to develop new skills—qualities valued in international business.

Criteria for Application:

• Demonstrate a strong aptitude for chess

• Show leadership in developing chess within your school (e.g., starting or running a school club)

• Academic performance is not a requirement
