The rapid chess tournament was held at Hamilton Princess last weekend, with more than 20 participants taking part.
A spokesperson said, “After five intense rounds in one day, the top results were:
First Place: Moses Mufandaedza – 4.5 points
Second Place: Gilbert Cancino – 4.5 points
Third Place: Sami Lill – 4 points
“There were several young players taking part, with the youngest being Dylan Flanagan, age 6.
“Congratulations to all participants. The Hamilton Princess was a great venue to hold this tournament, and we are looking forward to putting on more events soon. We had a good turn out of players across Bermuda, and hope everyone enjoyed the tournament.
“The Bermuda Chess Association will commence regular evenings again next week [after a brief pause, due to renovations], at the regular venue – in the basement of the Bermuda Housing Corporation, 44 Church Street East.
“Tuesday, November 5 will see a unrated blitz tournament, open to all players. Participants need to be present at 7.30pm on Tuesday to play.
