Following an admirable showing at this year’s CARIFTA games in Curacao, the Saltus Chess team of Dimitri Goncharov, Connor Outerbridge, Ryne Cash, Tristian Robinson were able to take home the Bermuda Schools Chess Championship 2019, this past week. The event was an all around success from the hosts to the play. The Bermuda Chess Association organized another excellence event that continues to grow each year. Our students all took their role on the team seriously and preformed great. Their interest in the game has certainly led to the result of School Champs. It has been fun for Ms. Berryman and myself to see their passion for the game take them to such success.
